Free Crochet Headband Pattern
This is a beginner pattern that’s simple but stylish. You crochet a rectangle, working it flat, and then sew the seams to create a twisted look. The ribbed texture adds a stylish touch to the headband, making it look more advanced than it really is.
You alternate front and back post double crochet stitches, which is my favorite way to create ribbing. This easy crochet headband is perfect for anyone just starting out and looking for a great project.

Assembling the Halloween Crocheted Headbands
Lay your headband flat with the side facing you as the “right side” of the headband.
- Fold both ends of the headband toward the middle, overlapping the bottom end over the right half of the top end.
- Wrap the other half of the bottom end around the top end.
- Then, wrap the remaining half of the top end to the front.
- Sew the folded sections together, and turn the headband inside out to hide the seam.
Finishing the Halloween Crochet Headband Pattern
Fasten off and then weave in the ends.
