Frankenstein Blanket c2c Crochet Pattern Free

After designing my Cat & Jack-0-Lantern blanket, I came up with the idea of making a Halloween blanket that was entirely Frankenstein's face. I'm really happy with how it turned out. This blanket is made using the traditional corner to corner method. You can follow the written instructions (I provide both: starting from the bottom right corner or bottom left corner) or download and print the PDF for the pixel graph (my preferred method). Please share pictures with me on Instagram or Facebook. I love to see your creations!

Gauge and Finished Size

Gauge: 8 pixel squares= 5.5"
Size: 31" x 41"

Materials

I/5.5mm crochet hook
-tapestry needle
-worsted weight yarn (Green, Black, White, Gray)
To use the exact same colors that I did, you'll need Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Spring Green (3 skeins), Black (1 skein but working with more than one would make it easier), White (1 skein) and Charcoal (1 skein/just enough for the mouth, stitches and eye border)
- copy of the Frankenstein Graph PDF

Download the Frankenstein Graph PDF HERE

If you want your blanket to be reversible, you can carry the colors along with you as you're crocheting. I show you how to do this in a video tutorial:

crochet frankenstein c2c blanket pattern

Border & Stitches

You are going to use your black yarn when crocheting around the hair section and your green yarn when crocheting around the face. I only did one round of the border.

sc= single crochet
ch= chain

In each corner you will work a (sc-ch 1-sc) and along the edge you will sc twice in each of the pixel squares.

Use the yarn tails from your gray yarn to make sure the pixels with the stitches connect to each other (see pictures).
