Crochet Candy Corn Dress

This pattern was requested by one of my YouTube subscribers! I was excited to design a dress pattern that not only has a different look from my other dresses, it is also written for larger sizes. Materials

– I 5.5 mm crochet hook
– tapestry needle
– stitch markers
– worsted weight yarn in white, orange and yellow
– half inch buttons (I used three yellow buttons)

Finished Sizes

2T, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8

Gauge

15 dc stitches= 4 inches & 12 rows dc= 5 inches

Notes

-dress is worked from the top down

-the ch at the beginning of each round never counts as your first stitch

 I 5.5 mm crochet hook and white yarn

Instructions between two asterisks should be repeated for the remainder of the row/round.

Row 1: chain 58, dc in 3rd chain from hook, dc in each remaining chain, turn [56]

Row 2: ch 2, 2 dc in first st, dc in next st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st*, turn [84]

Rows 14- 20: ch 2, dc in each st, join [80]

Switch to yellow yarn. 

Row 21: ch 2, 2 dc in first st, dc in next st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st*, join [120]

Collar: Crochet Candy Corn Dress

Same for all sizes

 I 5.5 mm crochet hook and white yarn

With back of dress facing you, attach yarn on bottom left side of back opening.

Ch 1 and sc up the left side of the opening.

SC around the collar (tip: I made my sc’s between the dc stitches)

SC back down the right side of the opening.

Buttons: Crochet Candy Corn Dress

Same for all sizes

white yarn, buttons, and tapestry needles

Thread your buttons with white yarn.

Decide where you want your buttons.

Use a tapestry needle to attach your buttons around the first dc of the row.

To “button” – thread buttons through the space between the dc’s on the other side of the dress.
