Free Crochet Christmas Tree Pattern
Materials Needed
- Crochet Hook Size: E 3.5 mm
- Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in light brown, green, red, and yellow.
- Yarn needle: Use this to weave in your ends.
- Scissors: Use scissors to fasten off your yarn.
- Stitch marker(s): Optional. Use these to help keep track of your stitches.

Row 1: ch 2, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, turn (1 stitch)
Row 2: ch 1, 2 sc, turn (2 stitches)
Row 3: ch 1, 2 sc, 2 sc, turn (4 stitches)
Row 4: ch 1, 2 sc, sc 2, 2 sc, turn (6 stitches)
Row 5: ch 1, 2 sc, sc 4, 2 sc, turn (8 stitches)
Row 6: ch 1, 2 sc, sc 6, 2 sc, fasten off (10 stitches)
Christmas Tree Section 2
Row 7: skip 2 sts and re-attach yarn to 3rd st, ch 1, 2 sc, sc 4, 2 sc, turn (8 stitches)
Row 8: ch 1, 2 sc, sc 6, 2 sc, turn (10 stitches)

Christmas Tree Trunk Pattern
Row 1: skip over 8 sts and attach yarn to the 10th st, ch 1 and sc 6, turn (6 stitches)
Row 2: ch 1, sc in each st, turn (6 stitches)
Row 3: ch 1, sc in each st, fasten off (6 stitches)
Use a tapestry needle to weave in all of your ends.
Star Topper Pattern
Rnd 1: Ch 2 and make 5 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, join (5 stitches)
Rnd 2: [Ch 3, sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in the 3rd ch, join with a sl st to the next sc on the rnd] x 5 times, fasten off (5 peaks)
Use a tapestry needle to sew the star onto the top of the tree.
Garland Instructions
Use a tapestry needle and red yarn to sew garland onto the tree.
