For this section, you will work twice into the final white cap round. The white ruffle is worked into the front loops, while the red hair begins in the unused back loops.
Crochet the white ruffled brim
With white yarn, work into the FLO of each stitch from the final white cap round.
Ch 2, work 4 dc in the FLO of each st around. Join.
Your ruffled-brim stitch count will be:

- 6–12 months: 224 dc
- Toddler: 240 dc

Fasten off white yarn.
Crochet the red hair
Join red yarn in the unused BLO of the final white cap round.
First hair round: Ch 1, work one single crochet loop stitch in the BLO of each st around. Join.
Stitch counts:
- 0–3 months: 48 loop sts
- 3–6 months: 52 loop sts
- 6–12 months: 56 loop sts
- Toddler: 60 loop sts
- Child: 64 loop sts
- Adult: 68 loop sts
For 0–3 months, 3–6 months, and 6–12 months:
Next round: Ch 1, work one single crochet loop stitch in each st around. Join and fasten off.
For Toddler, Child, and Adult:

Add the blue bow
Position the join seam at the back of the wig so you can identify the center front.
Thread a length of blue yarn onto a yarn needle.
Working through the second-to-last white dc round of the wig cap, weave the blue yarn in and out every 2 stitches around the hat. Bring both yarn ends to the center front and tie them into a loose bow.
Adjust the bow and wig opening as needed for a comfortable fit.
Finishing
Weave in all remaining yarn ends. Fluff and arrange the red loop-stitch hair so it sits evenly around the wig.
