Rounds 1-5 (same for both sizes)
Gauge: 15 stitches and 11 rows = 4 inches
I 5.5mm hook
v-stitch: in the same stitch make (dc, ch 1, dc)
Your first dc always goes in the same st where you joined and made your chain.
You can make the dress longer if needed by adding more rounds of dc before the last row where you sc.

Using yellow yarn, chain 64, join in the round
Rnd 1: ch 2, dc 8, v-stitch, dc 14, v-stitch, dc 16, v-stitch, dc 14, v-stitch, dc 8, join

Rnd 2: attach blue yarn, ch 2, dc 9, v-stitch, dc 16, v-stitch, dc 18, v-stitch, dc 16, v-stitch, dc 9, join



Rnd 3: ch 2, dc 10, v-stitch, dc 18, v-stitch, dc 20, v-stitch, dc 18, v-stitch, dc 10, join

Rnd 4: ch 2, dc 11, dc into v-stitch area, ch 1, dc into NEXT v-stitch area (first sleeve made), dc 22, dc into v-stitch area, ch 1, dc into NEXT v-stitch area (second sleeve made), dc 11, join [48 total]



Rnd 5: ch 2, dc 12, 2 dc under sleeve (you are making those dc around the ch you made in rnd 4), dc 24, 2 dc under sleeve (you are making those dc around the ch you made in rnd 4), dc 12, join [52 total]




Continue This Pattern for 0/3 Months
Rnd 6: ch 2, dc 13, 2 dc in next st, dc 25, 2 dc in next st, dc 12, join [54 total]
Rnd 7: ch 2, dc 13, 2 dc in next st, dc 26, 2 dc in next st, dc 13, join [56 total]
Rnd 8: ch 2, dc 14, 2 dc in next st, dc 27, 2 dc in next st, dc 13, join [58 total]
Rnd 9: ch 2, dc 14, 2 dc in next st, dc 28, 2 dc in next st, dc 14, join [60 total]
Rnd 10: attach orange yarn, ch 2, dc in each st, join [60 total]
Rnd 11: attach red yarn, ch 2, dc in each st, join [60 total]
Rnd 12: attach purple yarn, ch 2, dc in each st, join [60 total]
Rnd 13: attach blue yarn, ch 2, working in the BACK LOOPS, 2 dc in same st, dc in next st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st*, (repeat the pattern between the * for the rest of round 13), join [90]
Lay dress flat and place stitch markers on the middle stitch in the front of the dress and on the middle stitch in the back of the dress (see my video tutorial where I walk you through this step by step)
Rnds 14- 23: ch 2, dc in each st BUT, make 2 dc in the stitches BEFORE and AFTER the stitch with the stitch marker. Make 1 dc in the stitch with the stitch marker and replace the marker, join [you are increasing each round by 4 stitches]
Rnds 24- 26:attach white yarn and continue the same pattern that you completed for rounds 14- 23 [you are increasing each round by 4 stitches]
Rnd 27: ch 1, sc in each st, join, fasten off and weave in ends

Continue This Pattern for 3/6 Months
Rnd 6: ch 2, dc 13, 2 dc in next st, dc 25, 2 dc in next st, dc 12, join [54 total]
Rnd 7: ch 2, dc 13, 2 dc in next st, dc 26, 2 dc in next st, dc 13, join [56 total]

Rnd 15- 27: ch 2, dc in each st BUT, make 2 dc in the stitches BEFORE and AFTER the stitch with the stitch marker. Make 1 dc in the stitch with the stitch marker and replace the marker, join [you are increasing each round by 4 stitches]
Rnds 28- 30:attach white yarn and continue the same pattern that you completed for rounds 15- 27 [you are increasing each round by 4 stitches]
Rnd 31: ch 1, sc in each st, join, fasten off and weave in ends
Sleeves
I 5.5mm hook
you will not be working in the stitches under the arm pit in round 1; you are only working in the the stitches on the frontside, backside & shoulder area
Rnd 1: attach red yarn to first stitch before or after (depending on side) armpit area, ch 1, sc in same st, sc in the next 3 sts, 2 hdc in the next 2 sts, 2 dc in the next 8 sts, 2 hdc in the next 2 sts, sc in the next 4 sts, attach yellow yarn
Rnd 2: sc around the entire armhole with the yellow yarn
Star
4.5mm hook & yellow yarn
Rnd 1: magic ring, 12 dc, join
Rnd 2: *in next st make a hdc, dc, tc & ch 1, in next st make a tc, dc & hdc, in next st make a sl st* repeat pattern between the * 4 more times, join and fasten off
Use tapestry needle and attach star to front/center of waist band.
