Crochet the sleeve trim
Join black yarn at the bottom of one armhole.
Round 1: Ch 1, *in next st work (sc, dc, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook), in next st work (dc, sc), sl st in next 2 sts; repeat from * evenly around, adjusting the final repeat as needed so the edging sits flat. Join and fasten off.
Repeat around the second armhole.
Crochet the witch hat
The witch hat is written for 0–3 month and 3–6 month sizes. Rounds 1–31 are the same for both sizes.
Using the I-9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook, begin with purple yarn.

Crochet the hat buckle
Using a 4.5 mm crochet hook and orange yarn:
Ch 15.
Work (sc, ch 1, sc) in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 chs, (sc, ch 1, sc) in next ch, sc in next 2 chs, (sc, ch 1, sc) in next ch, sc in next 3 chs, (sc, ch 1, sc) in next ch, and sc in last 2 chs.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Position the buckle on the front of the witch hat and sew it securely in place.

Round 9: Ch 1, sc in next 17 sts, sc2tog twice, sc in remaining 17 sts. Join. (36 sts)

Crochet the shoe bows
Make 2 using the 4.5 mm crochet hook and orange yarn.
Round 1: Ch 18. Join with a sl st to the first ch, taking care not to twist. Ch 1, sc in each ch around. Join. (18 sts)
Round 2: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join. (18 sts)
Round 3: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join. (18 sts)
Round 4: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join and fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail. (18 sts)
Flatten the crocheted ring. Wrap the long yarn tail several times around the center to form the bow shape.
Secure the yarn, then sew one bow to the front of each shoe.
Crochet the witch broom
Using the H-8 (5 mm) crochet hook and brown yarn:
Round 1: Make a magic circle. Ch 1, work 6 sc into the ring. Join. (6 sts)
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around. Join. (12 sts)
Round 3: Ch 1, *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (18 sts)
Round 4: Ch 1, sc in the BLO of each st around. Join. (18 sts)
Rounds 5–31: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join. (18 sts)
Lightly stuff the broom with fiberfill.
Round 32: Ch 1, *sc2tog, sc in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (12 sts)
Round 33: Ch 1, sc2tog around. Join. (6 sts)
Round 34: Ch 1, sc2tog around. Join. (3 sts)
Fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail. Thread the tail through the remaining 3 sts, pull tightly to close the opening, and secure.
Cut several strands of brown and soft gold yarn approximately 11 inches (28 cm) long.
Tie the strands around the closed end of the broom until the bristles are as full as you like. Trim the ends evenly.
Finishing
Weave in all remaining yarn ends. Make sure the hat buckle and shoe bows are sewn securely in place, and trim the broom bristles evenly.
