I’m so excited to introduce my pumpkin patch crochet hat pattern! This cozy hat is perfect for the fall season and is available in toddler, child, and adult sizes. It features rounds of bobble stitches that look just like little pumpkins, a ribbed brim for extra warmth, and a fun pom pom on top.

Materials Needed
- Crochet hook sizes:
I-9 5.5 mm (hat)
H-8 5 mm (ribbed brim) - Yarn: worsted weight yarn in white, orange, yellow, and green
- Yarn needle: Use this to weave in your ends.
- Scissors: Use scissors to fasten off your yarn.
- Stitch marker(s): These are great for beginners. They help to keep track of your stitches.
- Extra large pom pom maker: For making a pom pom for your hat.

- YO, insert hook in next st, YO, pull up a loop, YO pull through 2 loops (2 loops on hook)
- YO, insert hook in same st, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2 loops (3 loops on hook)
- YO, insert hook in same st, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2 loops (4 loops on hook)
- YO, insert hook in same st, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2 loops (5 loops on hook)
- YO, insert hook in same st, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2 loops (6 loops on hook)
- YO and pull through all 6 loops.
Pattern Notes
- The brim is worked in flat in rows and then joined in the round.
- The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up.
- Join each round with a slip stitch to the first stitch made in that round.
- Repeat instructions between the asterisks (*) for the rest of the round.
- The pattern is written in US terms.

Ribbed Brim Instructions
Use an H-8 5 mm crochet hook.
Row 1: Ch 7, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each rem ch, turn (6 stitches)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc blo in each st, turn (6 stitches)
Toddler size: repeat row 2 for 76 rows
Child size: repeat row 2 for 80 rows
Adult size: repeat row 2 for 86 rows
Join in the round and begin the hat pattern.
Toddler Size
Use an I-9 5.5 mm crochet hook.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc once in each row of the brim, join (76 stitches)
Rnds 2-5: Ch 1, sc in each st, join (76 stitches)
In round 6, use orange yarn for the bo sts.
Rnd 6: Ch 1, sc in 4 sts, [bo, sc 8] x 8 times (68 sc, 8 bo)
In round 7, use green yarn for the sc made into the bo.

Adding a Pom Pom
- Wind the yarn around both arches.
- Cut the yarn along the middle gap.
- Tie with a piece of scrap yarn.
- Open the arches and remove the pom pom.
- Trim any loose ends.
Attach the pom pom to the top of your hat.
Finishing
Weave in the ends.
