Corner to corner (c2c) crochet is one of my favorite crochet techniques. I love that you can make any image out of crochet! I usually use this technique to make blankets or pillows but I recently thought to myself, why not try a corner to corner graph hat?

I love how my Heart hats turned out. Now that I have the corner to corner graph sizing, my mind is racing with other image ideas! If you have any ideas, share with me on Instagram!

If you're following me on Instagram you know how much I love Halloween and corner to corner crochet. I decided to put these two loves together and designed a couple of Halloween themed mini corner to corner (c2c) graphs. These graphs are very versatile. You can use them to make small tote bags, pillows, wall art or as part of a graphgan. What will you make? Let me know on Instagram!

I think we can all agree on one thing... 2020 is BOO-SHEET! This is a fun & easy corner to corner (c2c) crochet pattern that will add some humor to a difficult time. You can make a back for it and turn it into a pillow or attach it to a dowel rod and use as wall art. Either way, it'll be a great piece to look back on in the future when the world goes back to "normal". Enjoy! And please share your pictures with me on Instagram (@lovable_loops). I'd love to see how you use the graph.

Nothing says fall like pumpkins! This Pumpkin Pillow pattern would make a great addition to your home decor.  You can change the colors to brighten it up if the lighter colors aren't your style. Or, you could make 12 of the pumpkin graphs and sew them together (3 x 4) to make a pumpkin afghan that would measure approximately 45 inches by 60 inches. I hope you like my pattern!

OCTOBER 5, 2020

This Fall Fling set is my first hat and scarf set. It was really fun to design.  I used a color palette to help with color inspiration like I did with my Color Pop Beanie.  Both are designed for an adult. This set would make a great gift for someone for the holidays.

OCTOBER 1, 2020

Last week I shared my Fall Placemat and Coaster Set.  I loved it so much that I wanted to design a winter themed version. What do ya think? I was a little worried about the size of the tree on the coaster based on the pixel graph but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Thankfully, the height of the half double crochet stitches stretched it up so it looks to scale. As mentioned in last weeks post, this pattern can be used as a placemat or a pillow cover. It's a two for one pattern!

SEPTEMBER 24, 2020

My husband and my youngest, both named Mark, are big Godzilla fans. Mark had been asking me to make a Godzilla blanket for him so I designed the graphs and got started. That was well over a year ago. I kept taking breaks to design patterns for my blog. Mark kept checking in on my progress so I finally decided to give myself a deadline. I told him that he would have his blanket by his birthday (August 20th). Thankfully, I finished it in time and he loves it! You have to be a Godzilla fan to appreciate it but I gotta say, I think it's pretty cool. And the work was definitely worth the smile.

SEPTEMBER 23, 2020

Happy Fall Y'all!  When I set out to design this pattern, I intended for it to be a throw pillow cover. After making it in single crochet (pic in post) I decided that it was too small and redid it using half double crochet. I think it looks much better. I was also happy to find out that it ended up being the perfect size for a placemat. So, I decided to go with it and I designed a matching coaster. You could still use this pattern as a pillow cover though! Just crochet a back of the same size, sew three sides together and insert a pillow insert like this one. Sew up the final side and you're done!

SEPTEMBER 21, 2020

My Color Pop Beanie is worked in the round from the top down. The brim is worked separately in rows and then sewn to the hat. It's a fun and easy hat pattern. I think it would be good for beginner crocheters who want to practice color changes.

What do you think about the colors that I used? I'm not the best at putting colors together (although I am getting better) so I searched for a fun color palette and used yarn colors that were similar to the colors in the palette. I broke the colors up with 2 rounds of white between them. I really like how it turned out. I want to make another one using some fall colors!

SEPTEMBER 20, 2020

I had so much fun with this one. I wanted to design something with various colors and stitches. I used bobbles and star stitches. I love the look it created. I think it has a summery look- you could use any colors to give it a different feel. I also learned something- 124 is a horrible number for pattern repeats. It's not divisible by very many numbers. I'm not the best at math so it made me a little crazy. My husband even tried to help. But, in the end, I got it sorted out and now I get to enjoy my bag. I hope you like my pattern. Tag me on Instagram and Facebook with your pics!

SEPTEMBER 10, 2020bobble stitch beanie crochet pattern

bobble stitch beanie crochet pattern

It's the third day of virtual learning here in MD and so far so good. I'm really happy with how well my kids have adjusted to this new style of learning. My oldest started high school and he prefers to work in his room but my two younger kids are set up in the living room with me.

I'm sharing a "behind the scenes" pic of our work space below. Who knew that our living room would one day end up being a work space for the three of us. While getting organized, I came across this Red Heart Super Saver Ombre yarn in my craft room and decided that I needed to turn it into a beanie. I love the combination of the bobble stitches, the blending of one color hue to another and the pom pom! I think the hats turned out super cute! Follow me on Instagram (lovable_loops) or Facebook and let me know what you think!

SEPTEMBER 3, 2020skeleton throw blanket crochet pattern

I know I say this a lot, but I am really excited about this spooky skeleton throw blanket. I love fall. I love Halloween. I love soft throw blankets. I love the colors white and gray together. So, as you can imagine, this creepy skull blanket project is particularly exciting for me. I've been wanting some Halloween home decor that isn't too colorful, dark or childlike. And I gotta say, I think I nailed it.

I used Lion Brand's Nap Time yarn in white and pale grey. If you can get your hands on this yarn for this project, I highly recommend that you do. I love the soft, squishy texture. The colors look amazing together, too. Just imagine yourself on a chilly fall night, snuggled up on the couch with your favorite Netflix show, pumpkin spice latte and chenille skeleton blanket. Sounds pretty nice, huh? I modeled this for you in case you're having a hard time picturing it.

boot cuffs free crochet pattern

I know it's only the beginning of summer but I couldn't help but design some Boot Cuffs. I was looking through my Pinterest boards for outfit inspiration and it's clear to me that fall is my favorite season for fashion.  My clothing ideas board is full of skinny jeans, boots, scarves... I love all of it! Stay tuned for the pattern for my matching Arm Warmers. These Boot Cuffs are a great pattern for beginner crocheters. They work up super fast and you only need to know how to make single crochet (sc) and double crochet (dc) stitches. Super easy!

JUNE 22, 2020
crochet hat free crochet pattern

This Nordic Ice Beanie is made using worsted weight yarn (Lion Brand's Feels Like Butta in Ice and White) and a G 4mm crochet hook. The ribbing is worked flat and then joined in the round. The hat is then worked in the round with two rounds of half double crochet (hdc) followed by a round of hdc puff stitches. You can change colors like I did or make the hat in one solid color. You also have the option of leaving the pom pom off (I just happen to love the look of poms) if you prefer that look. I hope you enjoy making this crochet beanie as much as I did!

Is anyone else out there obsessed with layers? I love soft, comfortable layers. After designing my Fireside Shawl, I decided I needed to design a "layer" for my legs for all those summer nights when it's just a tad too chilly for shorts but also too hot for pants. The result is these Summer Nights Leg Warmers. I highly recommend you use the same yarn that I did (Lion Brand's Feels Like Butta). It feels amazing and comes in lots of pretty colors.

This Fireside Shawl is a really fun and easy pattern. It is a good pattern for beginners since it only uses basic stitches (dc, hdc & sc). You have to do some increasing and decreasing for the hood part of the pattern, but the rest is just simple rectangles.

I explain how to determine your beginning chain so that you can adjust the pattern for any size/height. This Fireside Shawl is perfect for those chilly evenings by the fire pit. It would also make a great gift for someone special in your life. I had a lot of fun designing this one for you guys.

This fun Rainbow Pillow is quick and easy to make. It's a great crochet pattern for beginners who are ready to try something a little more challenging. As long as you keep your stitch count correct, your pillow will look great, even if your gauge is different from mine. The pillow is worked in curved rows back and forth using half double crochet (hdc) stitches and an H 5mm crochet hook. You just make two rainbows, sew them together and stuff with Poly Fil! I hope you find this pattern to be as fun to make as I did!

MARCH 23, 2020

Hi Friends. I have decided to take down my Face Mask pattern. I received several messages from people that shared that crochet masks can actually be dangerous. I was not aware of this and am very grateful that this was shared with me. It would be irresponsible for me to leave the pattern up at a time when people are looking for life saving resources on the internet. I am going to save my pattern notes and re-purpose as a fun Halloween mask once this epidemic is over. Stay safe & healthy. 💚

MARCH 19, 2020summer tote bag crochet pattern free

I'm very excited to share my first crochet bag pattern! I had purchased some Bernat Outdoor yarn a while back and was originally going to make outdoor pillows (which I will probably still do) but the feel of the yarn (stretchy & durable) made me think it would be perfect for a summer beach bag.

The bag is worked in the round from the bottom up with a J 6mm crochet hook and half double crochet (hdc) stitches. The pattern is simple and works up quickly, making it a great crochet bag for beginners.

This Paw Print Blanket is a really special project for me. I wanted to make something special for our sweet girl Ashley, who turned 9 on the 23rd of February. Since she loves animals (dogs especially), I decided to design a corner-to-corner (c2c) Paw Print Blanket. I thought it would be fun to make four separate c2c graphs to spell the word "love" and to replace the "o" with a paw print. I then decided on some really fun yarn colors that I thought Ashley would love. I ended up using Red Heart Super Saver in White, Turqua, Pretty-n-Pink, Freshmint and Amethyst. The colors look amazing together. Ashley absolutely loves the blanket!

shamrock blanket free crochet pattern shamrock blanket free crochet pattern

With St. Patrick's Day less than a month away, I thought a Rainbow Shamrock blanket pattern would be a fun and quick project to share with you all! Aside from white, you won't have more than one color in each row. This really cut down on the number of ends that I had to weave in. To be fair for you left handed crocheters, I flipped the graph so that you will also only have one rainbow color in each row. If you find that to be helpful and would like for me to provide a flipped graph for my other c2c patterns, please reach out on social media (Instagram or Facebook).

JANUARY 30, 2020timeless slouch boho love beanie hat free crochet patterntimeless slouch boho love beanie hat free crochet pattern

I am so excited to share this timeless, slouch style, boho LOVE beanie pattern with you guys! I really wanted to use the colors gray, red and white together in a hat/beanie design. I am really happy with how the pattern turned out. I hope that you find it easy to follow. I took a lot of photos throughtout the design process.

You can easily customize the hat to your own taste by changing the colors or leaving the pom pom off. I'd love to see what your creative minds come up with. Please share pictures with me on Instagram or Facebook. It makes me so happy when I get to see your creations!

JANUARY 24, 2020
double crochet beanie hat free pattern

Around this time last year, I decided to reteach myself how to crochet so that I could ease my yarn tension. It took a few weeks because of muscle memory but I was finally able to retrain my fingers which has allowed me to crochet more smoothly and quickly.

Since my tension is looser than it was before, I decided to write another basic Double Crochet Beanie pattern.

JANUARY 17, 2020crochet heart pillow free pattern

For Valentine's Day I decided to design a Heart pillow. I was originally going to design the pillows to look like candy Conversation Hearts. Once I got started though, I changed my mind and decided to use white yarn for the font (as opposed to red). I also added a scallop border. I think the pillows look like boxes of Valentine chocolates! What do you think?
