  • Repeat instructions between asterisks (*) for the remainder of the row/round.
  • The chain at the beginning of a row or round does not count as your first stitch.
  • The scarf and hood are worked in rows.
  • The inner and outer ear patterns are the same for all sizes.
  • Ears are worked in the round.
  • At the end of each round of the ears, you’ll join your yarn with a slip stitch (sl st) to the first stitch made in that round. 
  • Use a J/6mm crochet hook for the scarf & hood patterns (all sizes).

Rnd 3: ch 2, *2 dc, dc in next st*, join (27 stitches)

Rnd 4: ch 1, sc around entire ear, join and finish off leaving a long yarn tail

Inner Ear Pattern

H/5 mm crochet hook and white yarn

Rnd 1: magic ring, ch 2, 9 dc, join with sl st in top of first dc (9 stitches)

Rnd 2: ch 2, 2 dc in each st, join (18 stitches)

Rnd 3: ch 2, *2 dc, dc in next st*, join (27 stitches)

Use white yarn to sew the inner and outer ears together.

Sew through the stitches from round 3 of the inner ear and the front loops only (flo) of the stitches from round 4 of the outer ear.

Sewing through the front loops only will hide the white yarn from the back.

Sew ears onto hood. Make sure they are equal distance from the middle.

Pom Pom Instructions

  1. Wind the yarn around both arches. 
  2. Cut the yarn along the middle gap.
  3. Tie with a piece of scrap yarn. 
  4. Open the arches and remove the pom pom.
  5. Trim any loose ends.
