Free Cinderella Yarn Wig Crochet Pattern

Create a Cinderella-inspired yarn wig that’s perfect for costumes, dress-up, Halloween, or a handmade princess outfit. The smooth yellow beanie, top bun, and blue headband create the classic updo while keeping the finished wig soft and comfortable to wear.

This beginner Cinderella yarn wig is made with worsted weight (#4) yarn and includes six sizes from 0–3 months through adult. dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
hdc2tog = half double crochet 2 stitches together

Magic circle alternative

If you’re not comfortable with using a magic circle, you can use an alternative method to make round 1 of the beanie. This method is just as effective and might be easier for beginners.

Stuff the bun with fiberfill, then use the long tail to sew the opening closed. Sew the bun securely to the top of the wig.

Headband instructions

Use an H–8 (5 mm) crochet hook and blue yarn.

0–3 and 3–6 months: Ch 36, dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each rem ch. Fasten off. (34 stitches)
6–12 months and Toddler: Ch 40, dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each rem ch. Fasten off. (38 stitches)
Child and Adult: Ch 42, dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each rem ch. Fasten off. (40 stitches)

Sew the headband to the wig in front of bun.

Finishing

Weave in the ends.
