Sunset at the Lake Colorful Crochet Blanket Pattern
There’s nothing quite like a sunset over the water to take your breath away. I live in Maryland, and Deep Creek Lake is one of my favorite places. The colors of the sky at sunset inspired me to design this Sunset at the Lake colorful crochet blanket pattern.
This cozy throw is made with six blocks of sunset-inspired colors, each one separated by clean, bright white rows. It’s a simple and relaxing pattern you can enjoy while thinking about warm summer evenings by the lake. The free crochet pattern is below.
This colorful crochet blanket pattern is perfect for beginners!
Don’t let the pretty colors fool you—this color block crochet blanket is super easy to make! If you can double crochet, you can make this entire throw. There are no fancy stitches or complicated counting.
You’ll just crochet back and forth in rows, changing colors when it’s time to switch blocks. It’s a great project for beginners or anyone who wants a relaxing, low-stress blanket to work on. Whether you’re watching TV, chatting with friends, or enjoying a quiet moment outside, this pattern is fun and easy to follow.

Make it your own with your favorite colors
One of the best things about this crochet sunset blanket is that you can totally make it your own! Don’t feel limited to sunset colors. Want something soft and sweet? Try pastels. Need a bold, modern look? Go with bright, high-contrast colors.
You could also switch the white rows to black, gray, or another neutral for a totally different vibe. However you choose your crochet blanket color schemes, this multi color crochet blanket lets your personality shine through.
